Glenn Beck and the Death of Conservatism

Glenn Beck’s big rally at the Lincoln Memorial a couple days ago is the talk of the news media and the internet. Liberals are denouncing it, conservatives are walking on air, while tens of millions of people are completely mystified. And with good reason — if Seinfeld was a show about nothing, this massive gathering was a rally about nothing. And while it may have looked impressive, in reality it shows just how impotent and adrift the mainstream conservative movement has become. Continue reading

Dr Chuck Baldwin: We Need A Revolution, Not A Movement

The elections of 2008 (and the early elections of 2010) produced two significant phenomena: the “Ron Paul Revolution,” and the “Tea Party Movement.” And, mark it down: both of them will have profound effects upon the upcoming November elections–and upon the 2012 elections as well. The moniker stems from the tendency of these patriot-preachers to wear long, black robes in their pulpits. Continue reading

Sandra Crosnoe says, “As most of you know who read here, I am active with R3publicans and was an original founding member and serve on the policy board as such. The policy on our released endorsements is that if we do not have consensus, we do not endorse in a race, so the list is rather short and here is the link for Oklahoma R3publicans Endorsements for 2010 which went out this weekend. My personal picks and thinking are below with links to their sites (the ones I know) for more information as desired:”

Oklahoma: R3publicans Endorse Randy Brogdon – The Best of the Best for Governor

Primaries are about selecting the best candidate to represent our party in the general election. This cycle in Oklahoma, the choice for our endorsement for the Governor’s race was crystal clear. There has been consensus among us for months that Randy Brogdon is the man to lead the state ticket in November. It will depend on grassroots people making sure that the best person actually wins this election in order to be able to prevail in November as well. Will Republicans prevail if they fail to select men and women of principle in the primary?
