Oklahoma: Nathan Dahm Picks up Endorsement from Opponent in CDO1 Race

PRESS RELEASE AMERICAN COUNCIL FOR HEALTH CARE REFORM WITHDRAWS ITS ENDORSEMENT OF KENNETH RICE IN THE JULY 27 REPUBLICAN PRIMARY TO REPRESENT THE FIRST DISTRICT OF OKLAHOMA

Arlington, VA July 22, 2010 The American Council for Health Care Reform (ACHCR) recent endorsement of Kenneth Rice in the July 27 Republican primary to represent OK-1 has been withdrawn, according to William H. Shaker, the organization’s volunteer president. Shaker said, “ACHCR endorsed Rice on June 10, 2010, as an alternative to career politician John Sullivan, who has voted for federal funding of Planned Parenthood, the Wall Street bailout, and for a massive expansion of unfunded entitlement programs.”

Shaker said, “ACHCR was very impressed with the principles that Mr. Rice said he embraced when he asked for our support.” Shaker continued, “However, we have been disappointed with his performance during the campaign, and frankly, his performance simply hasn’t lived up to the principles he told us he espouses.” Shaker said, “Because health care in America is under such dire threat from ObamaCare, ACHCR can have only one goal: to support the candidate that not only embraces the principles of liberty, but the candidate who we consider to be most likely to represent those principles in Washington. In our view, Nathan Dahm is that candidate.”
